CANTUR live cams
The tourism company of the Government of Cantabria, which runs Alto Campoo and the Fuente Dé cable car, with still cameras on its slopes.
CANTUR, officially the Sociedad Regional Cántabra de Promoción Turística, is the public tourism company of the Government of Cantabria. It was created in 1969 to promote nature and sports tourism, and today it runs some of the best-known places in the region: the Cabárceno Nature Park near Santander, the Fuente Dé cable car into the Picos de Europa, the Áliva mountain hotel, two golf courses and the Alto Campoo ski and mountain resort, the only ski area in Cantabria.
For Alto Campoo it publishes a set of still cameras on the resort's website, each labelled at the top with the name of the spot, its altitude and the date and time the picture was taken. On this site we show the view across the slopes of La Calgosa, the glacial valley where most of the runs lie, from about 1,650 m. These are still images, not video: the refresh button brings the latest one, and the label tells you when it was taken. CANTUR's camera at Fuente Dé, at the foot of the cable car, is published in the same way.
