Fuentes de Invierno live cams
A small Asturian ski resort opened in 2007 at the head of the Aller valley, with still cameras on its slopes and base.
Fuentes de Invierno is a small ski resort in the Cantabrian Mountains, in the council of Aller, Asturias, on the Asturian side of the San Isidro pass. It opened in March 2007 as part of the effort to bring new activity to a valley hit by the closure of its coal mines. It has about 9 km of runs served by three chairlifts, a drag lift and a conveyor belt, from a base at about 1,500 m to nearly 2,000 m near the summit of La Llomba, on north-facing slopes.
The resort publishes two still cameras on its website. On this site we show both: one looking up the main slopes, with the snow fence and the lift pylons climbing to the rocky summit, and one over the base area, with an old stone hut, the bottom station of a chairlift and the woods beyond. They are still images, not video: the refresh button brings the latest one. One of the two views is also published on Windy, which keeps a time-lapse of the day. Together they show snow cover from the bottom of the runs to the top.
