Hotel Gran Sol live cams

Hotel Gran Sol is a family-friendly hotel in the centre of San Antonio, Sant Antoni de Portmany, on Ibiza's west coast. It stands on Calle Soledad, a short walk from the harbour, the seafront promenade and the small beach of Caló des Moro, and close to the sunset bars that made the town's west-facing shore famous. The hotel has 138 rooms over six floors, an outdoor pool with a sun terrace, a restaurant and a bar.

Its webcam is mounted high on the building and looks west over the rooftops of the town to the bay of Sant Antoni, the islets offshore and the far side of the bay. The hotel streams it live on its official YouTube channel and shows it on its own website, inviting guests to check what the day looks like before they arrive. A small panel in the top corner carries the hotel's name and a clock, so you can see at a glance that the picture is current.

On this site the stream is embedded with YouTube's own player, as the hotel allows, and it only connects to YouTube when you press play. The same view is also published on Windy, whose 24-hour time-lapse appears as a second option on the San Antonio page. Because the bay faces west, the camera is at its most striking in the hour before sunset. Like any live stream, it can pause for a while if the hotel restarts its equipment.
