Gran Hotel Reymar live cams

The Gran Hotel Reymar is a four-star superior hotel on the seafront of Tossa de Mar, on the Costa Brava. It stands above Mar Menuda, the smaller of the two beaches on the town's bay, on the opposite side of the bay from the Vila Vella, the walled medieval town on its headland.

The hotel runs two live cameras and publishes them on its own website so that guests can check the sea and the weather before they arrive. One looks south-west across the bay to the Vila Vella and the end of Platja Gran, the main beach, with the walls and towers filling the centre of the frame. The other looks straight down onto Mar Menuda from above the hotel's sun terrace, with a wide-angle lens that takes in the sand, the rock stacks at the end of the beach and a broad sweep of open sea.

Both cameras stream continuous video through ipcamlive, a service that carries live streams from IP cameras, and both carry the hotel's name and the date and time in the corner of the picture. They are shown here through ipcamlive's own player. Because the cameras are fixed and run for the hotel's guests, the framing stays the same day after day, which makes them useful for comparing the sea and the crowds on the beach from one visit to the next. A stream can pause now and then for maintenance.
