Port of Santander live cams
The Port Authority of Santander, which publishes still images of the bay, the island of Mouro and the anchorage.
The Autoridad Portuaria de Santander is the public body that runs the port of Santander, one of the state-owned ports of Spain. It manages the docks, the shipping channel and the passenger terminal in the city centre, where the ferries from Portsmouth, Plymouth and Rosslare berth, close to the Pereda gardens.
On its website the port authority publishes a page of real-time images from four cameras. Three of them are on this site: the open bay with the buoys of the shipping channel, the lighthouse island of Mouro at the mouth of the bay, and the clifftop park of Mataleñas looking over the anchorage where ships wait to enter. The fourth looks at a road bridge in the industrial part of the port and is left out here, as it shows nothing of the coast.
Each camera takes a still photograph every few minutes and prints its name, the port authority's name, the date and the time across the top, so you can always see how recent the picture is. Still images load quickly on any connection. On this site they appear on the Santander page, credited to the port authority with a link to its webcam page.
