Turisme L'Ametlla de Mar live cams
The municipal tourist board of L'Ametlla de Mar, streaming its beach and fishing harbour live on YouTube.
The Patronat Municipal de Turisme de l'Ametlla de Mar is the tourist board of L'Ametlla de Mar, a fishing town in the Baix Ebre district, in the south of the province of Tarragona. Through its website, visitametllademar.com, it promotes a coastline of beaches and rocky coves, much of it inside protected natural areas, crossed by the GR 92 coastal footpath, as well as the town's fishing traditions and seafood cooking.
The tourist board streams two live cameras on its YouTube channel, Turisme L'Ametlla de Mar, with embedding allowed so that they can be shown on other websites. One looks over Platja de l'Alguer, the small sandy bay in front of the town, from high above the promenade; the other looks over the port pesquer, the fishing harbour, with its quays, trawlers and marina. Both carry the town's logo and the date and time in the corner of the picture.
The streams are set up to show visitors what the town looks like right now: whether the sea in the bay is calm and clear, how busy the beach is and what is happening in the harbour, which is home to the main tuna fishing fleet in Catalonia. On this site they are shown as live video, loaded from the tourist board's channel only when you press play.
