Salou Town Council live cams
The town council of Salou, which streams live video of Llevant beach and the cove of Capellans.
The Ajuntament de Salou, Salou Town Council, governs one of the busiest holiday resorts on the Costa Dorada, a town of about 31,000 residents that fills with visitors every summer. Among the services on its official website, salou.cat, is a page of webcams showing the town's beaches live.
The council streams two of them as live video. One, listed by the council under the name of the harbour breakwater, the Espigó del Moll, looks over the western end of Platja de Llevant, the main beach, with the traditional fishing boats displayed on the promenade steps in the foreground; its picture is labelled "Port de Salou". The other is at the Platja dels Capellans, a small cove between Llevant and Cap Salou, and looks low over the shrubs onto the sand and the water. Both pictures carry the date, the time and the name of the place.
The streams come directly from the council's streaming server, which allows them to be played on other websites, and they are the official view of the beaches the council looks after. Being live, they show the flag of the day, the crowds and the state of the sea exactly as they are.
