Noja Town Council live cams

The town council of Noja, Cantabria, which streams live cameras on its two beaches, Trengandín and Ris.

Noja is a small municipality on the coast of Cantabria, about 27 miles (43 km) east of Santander, with fewer than 3,000 permanent residents and a summer population many times larger. Its economy turns on its two long beaches, Trengandín and Ris, and on the visitors who come to them, so the town council publishes a live camera on each beach on the "Cámaras web" page of its official website.

Both cameras stream live video through ipcamlive, a service widely used for public cameras in Spain. The town's coat of arms, which carries the date 1644, appears in the corner of each picture, so there is no doubt whose cameras they are. The Trengandín camera looks out from above the dunes over a beach scattered with reefs and islets, and the Ris camera watches the dunes, the lifeguard tower and the sand of the town's second beach.

Run by the council itself, the cameras are meant for residents and holidaymakers checking the beach, the waves and the weather. On this site they appear on the Noja page, credited to the town council with a link to its camera page.
