CanaryTek live cams
A Lanzarote technology consultancy that streams two live cameras from Marina Rubicón in Playa Blanca.
CanaryTek is a technology consultancy based in Lanzarote, working since 2005 in systems engineering, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity and business software for companies and institutions in the Canary Islands. Its YouTube channel streams two live cameras from Marina Rubicón, the large marina at Playa Blanca on the southern tip of Lanzarote.
The first camera, labelled Faro, looks across the main basin with its rows of pontoons, yachts and motor cruisers to the breakwater and the open sea. The second, labelled Capitanía Bocana, stands by the harbour office at the marina entrance, with the small stone lighthouse in the foreground and the boats moving in and out behind it. Both show the date and time in the corner of the picture.
Neither camera looks at the beach, but together they give a reliable picture of the sea and the wind at the southern end of the island, across the strait from Fuerteventura. They are embedded from YouTube, where the channel allows it, and load only when you press play.
