Cetursa Sierra Nevada live cams

The public company of the Andalusian government that runs the Sierra Nevada ski resort, with panoramic cameras from Pradollano to the Veleta.

Cetursa Sierra Nevada is the company that runs the ski and mountain resort of Sierra Nevada, above Granada. It was founded in 1964 as Centros Turísticos and took its present name in 1993. It belongs to the public sector of Andalusia: the regional government holds almost all of its shares, with small stakes for the city of Granada, the provincial council and the municipality of Monachil. Its job is to run the ski area, its lifts and its services, which made Sierra Nevada the host of the 1996 Alpine World Ski Championships.

The resort publishes two kinds of camera. Its main ones are panoramic cameras made by feratel, which turn on their mounts and record a short high-definition clip of a wide sweep of the mountain: on this site, the Veleta zone at about 3,029 m, Borreguiles at about 2,690 m and Montebajo at about 2,370 m. Alongside them it publishes a still camera in Pradollano, the village at the foot of the slopes, which shows where the last run meets the rooftops. Several of these views also reach Windy, whose 24-hour time-lapses appear on the same page. Some cameras rest outside the ski season.
