Concello de Valdoviño live cams

The Concello de Valdoviño is the town council of Valdoviño, a coastal municipality of around 6,800 people in the province of A Coruña, in the district of Ferrol. Its coast faces the open Atlantic and is made up of long, exposed beaches, dunes and a protected coastal lagoon, which have made it one of the best-known surf areas in Galicia.

The council streams two of its beaches live, as part of the tourist information on its website. One camera looks along A Frouxeira, the long sandy beach that closes the lagoon, towards the lighthouse on its far headland. The other faces the sea at Pantín, the bay where the Pantín Classic surf contest is held each September.

The video is delivered through ipcamlive, a streaming service that lets cameras be shown on other websites. On this site the two streams are the live cameras on the Valdoviño page, credited to the council with a link to its beach page, and they start only when you press play. A time-lapse of the last 24 hours of the A Frouxeira view, published on Windy.com, follows them.

Because they are set up to show the sea rather than people, these cameras are the quickest way to check the swell, the wind on the water and the morning fog before driving out to the beach.
