IB-Red (Avista Baleares) live cams
A Balearic internet and phone company from Pollença whose Avista Baleares project runs a growing network of live HD cameras across Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Formentera and Cabrera.
IB-Red is the trading name of Red Digital de Telecomunicaciones de las Islas Baleares, an internet and telephone company based in Pollença, in the north of Mallorca, with offices in Pollença, Manacor, Ibiza and Mahón. It made its name bringing internet to places the big operators did not reach: the company says it has connected more than 25,000 rural homes, and its signal reaches as far as the island of Cabrera. Today it also sells fibre and mobile lines across the islands.
Its camera network is called Avista Baleares, a project the company describes as a window on the islands that is still growing, with cameras on Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Formentera and Cabrera: coves and beaches, harbours, hilltops and villages. Each camera streams live video in high definition, marked "imatges de ib-red" in the corner, and on its own website every view also has time-lapses of the previous days. Avista lists IB3, the Balearic public broadcaster, and the 112 emergency service among its partners, and some of the same cameras are also published on Windy, the weather website.
On this site you will find IB-Red's views of Mahón harbour, Sa Mesquida, Cala Tirant, Cala Morell, Cala en Bosch, Punta Prima and Cala Torret on Menorca, and of Ibiza Town and Santa Eulalia on Ibiza, among others. The video loads straight from IB-Red's own streaming servers only when you press play, and the company is credited beside each one. Where Windy also carries the camera, its time-lapse of the last 24 hours appears as a second option on the same page.
