3Cat (CCMA) live cams

The weather cameras of Catalonia's public broadcaster: about forty still-photo views of the coast, cities and mountains, with temperature and humidity.

3Cat is the digital brand of the Corporació Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals (CCMA), the public radio and television company of Catalonia, owned by the Generalitat and answerable to the Parliament of Catalonia. The corporation was created by the Catalan Parliament in 1983, the year Catalunya Ràdio and the television channel TV3 began broadcasting. The name 3Cat, a blend of TV3 and Catalunya Ràdio, arrived with its streaming service in October 2023 and now covers the corporation's news, programmes and weather online.

El Temps, the weather service seen every evening on TV3, keeps a network of about forty cameras across Catalonia and beyond, sorted into coast, city and mountain views. They range from the beaches of the Costa Brava and the Costa Dorada to the ski slopes of the Pyrenees, and they even include Perpignan, across the border in France. On this site you will find the ones that look over the sea.

Each camera produces a still photo rather than a video stream. 3Cat renews the photos through the day and shows each one with the air temperature and humidity at the camera, an indicator of air quality, and how many minutes ago it was taken, so you always know how fresh the picture is. They are shown here through the embeddable viewer that 3Cat itself provides, with its logo and data, exactly as the broadcaster publishes them.

Because they belong to a public broadcaster and are run by its weather team, with fixed views and the time of every photo on display, they are among the most dependable cameras on the coast.
